**Duties**:

- Serves as an information security specialist primarily concerned with the overall safeguarding of national security information.
- Process and manage clearance data on all personnel utilizing the JMSC facilities.
- Assist with managing the Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC) Physical Security Program.
- Prepare security plans for all activities conducted at JMSC, including during large and small exercises and normal garrison operations.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel within and outside of continental United States up to 40% of the time.
- Selection for this position is contingent upon proof of U.S. citizenship.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

**THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTAL POSITION HIRING AT THE GG-09 LEVEL ONLY WITH FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL (FPL) TO THE GG-11 LEVEL**. Employee may be promoted non-competitively to the next grade level upon meeting the following requirements: (1) Satisfactory demonstration of the ability to perform at the developmental/target grade. (2). If there is higher level work at the developmental/target grade level. (3) Assignment of increased responsibilities. (4) Recommendation for promotion by supervisor. (5) Satisfactory completion of all required training. (6) Completion of all DCIPS regulatory requirements for promotions. Consequently, promotion(s) are not guaranteed.**NOTE**: Current Department of Army employees at the full performance level of this series will be excluded for consideration for this position.
- Specialized Experience is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/GG-07 grade level in the Federal Service which includes experience in two or more security disciplines; Personnel Security, Physical Security and/or Information Security; also includes experience conducting security inspections for compliance and/or violations. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.**OR**

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as, Security Administration etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)**OR**

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
