Financial Accountant

**The Role**:
Your main responsibilities include:

- Ensuring high quality financials and support the EAC and German business
- Processing of primary accounting documents and data input in SAP and Blackline
- Ensuring that the primary accounting documents are accurate and complete
- Responsible for preparing vat, tax and IFRS group financial reporting
- Implementing and ensuring group accounting policies and principles are followed
- Managing transfer pricing and compliance reporting
- Preparing financial statements for submission to local authorities (HGB standard)
- Guiding the EAC team on relevant changes effecting the German region (tax, compliance, regulations)
- Assisting different stakeholders with accounting related questions
- Leading the local audits (Internal, external, authorities) and handling requests
- Participating in projects on the global accounting process and system development

**About You**:

- You ideally have an academic degree in Finance or Accounting or a comparable education
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience and a good understanding of accounting processes
- Good knowledge of HGB accounting as well as IFRS
- Good analytical skills
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel), prior experience in SAP is a plus
- You are self-motivated and willing to continuously develop yourself and the company’s way of working
- You have the ability to present in an effective and professional manner
- You show a high level of interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to engage and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organisation
- Self-starter, structured and result oriented person taking a proactive approach with a sense of urgency driving projects to completion and questioning existing processes
- Working in a flat organization, you are not afraid of varied duties and to communicate across many functions and levels of the business
