**Responsibilities**:
Your tasks include setting up and commissioning a test plant in the university's new laboratories, collecting experimental data and simulating processes based on this data. The plant will be set up in close collaboration with our colleagues in the field of electrical engineering. Presenting your results in scientific publications and at (international) conferences is also part of your role.
Your qualifications
At the time of your appointment, you will have a master's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related field and possess in-depth knowledge of process engineering and its fundamentals. Practical experience in the laboratory and in the simulation of process engineering is an advantage. Basic knowledge of electrolysis, the production of sulphuric acid, and automation technology is desirable.
You are a strong communicator and a team player. Excellent written and spoken English is required; knowledge of German is an advantage. Additionally, you should be enthusiastic about designing and constructing a laboratory-scale plant and conducting hands-on experiments with it.

The position is available immediately at the Kaiserslautern campus of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences the department of Applied Engineering as a full-time position for three years, with the option to extend for an additional year.

Employment is based on the collective wage agreement for the public service of the Länder (TV-L). Renumeration is provided in accordance with pay category E13 of the TV-L, provided that the professional and personal requirements are met.
