**Novolen** is part of the globally active **Lummus Technology group** that also has an emphasis on Green Circle technologies with a focus on polymer recycling. In addition to developing, elaborating and offering process and plant concepts for the production of polypropylene, our range of activities also includes the development and optimization of polypropylene catalysts and propylene polymers, their testing and evaluation, as well as technical consulting and support for licensees on our way to zero carbon processes. For **Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH** in **Ludwigshafen am Rhein/ Germany** we are looking for a **Senior R&D Lab Chemist (M/F/d)** to join our R&D Lab team at earliest date possible. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design lab scale polymerization experiments for acrylic based polymers - Development of polymer and chemical analysis plans (e.g., DSC, GPC, HPLC, GC, powder characterization) - Supervising a team of technicians and coordination of the lab work - Creation of knowhow on polymer synthesis on lab scale and transfer into commercial scale products - Preparation of customer trainings (in cooperation with ext. consultants) for technology licensees - Support technology development in the area of acrylic based polymers **Qualifications**: - PhD in Chemistry, preferable in Polymer Chemistry - Professional experience in the synthetics of Polymers is a plus - Solid background in free radical polymerizations and UV initiation - Analytical and leadership skills - Hands on mentality - Methodical, solution-oriented approach to work - Initiative, independence, and ability to work in a team - Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken **We offer**: - Permanent employment contract - Attractive / above-average remuneration - Vacation pay, end-of-year compensation - 30 days of annual leave - Pension plan - Very good work-life balance due to trust-based working - Employment in a steadily growing company in a crisis-proof industry - Challenging tasks, short decision-making processes and a lot of personal responsibility - International environment - Familiar working atmosphere - Regular employee events - Induction with "job mentor" - Continuing education and training opportunities - Company health management - Weekly fruit basket and free drinks (coffee, tea, water) - Employee offers from corporate benefits Sounds like the perfect career opportunity for you?
