**Job Description** Position: Junior Trader on the Equity Market Making Desk**

As a Junior Trader on the Equity Market Making Desk, you will immerse yourself in the fast-paced environment of equity trading, gaining valuable experience and insights. You will collaborate with seasoned traders and quantitative analysts, deepening your understanding of market dynamics, trading strategies, and risk management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Become a market maker for equities, ETFs (equity and fixed income), and other ETPs, providing liquidity and facilitating efficient trading
- Collaborate with senior traders to prepare detailed reports and presentations on trading performance
- Support the development and optimization of trading systems, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
- Design, refine, and implement trading algorithms to enhance execution strategies, improve trading efficiency, and adapt to changing market conditions
- Maintain and update trading systems and databases to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Monitor and analyze market trends, price movements, and trading volumes to inform decision-making
- Leverage your programming skills to automate data processing, enhance data visualization, and streamline workflows through technical solutions developed in Python
- Assist in optimizing liquidity management and treasury operations to ensure effective cash flow, funding strategies, and risk mitigation

**Qualifications**
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- You are proficient in Python, including data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as Pandas, Tkinter, and NumPy
- You have experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, demonstrating the ability to utilize functions, charts, and pivot tables effectively
- You possess a strong interest in financial markets, trading concepts, and investment strategies
- A basic understanding of risk management practices and compliance regulations is advantageous.
- You have solid analytical skills to evaluate data and identify trends or insights
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail in data handling and report preparation
- You are able to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively support senior traders
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas and findings clearly
- You possess proficient English communication skills (German is a plus but not required)
