**Duties**:
- Schedules and publicizes tournaments, and other sports events. Solicits volunteer and paid services for activities. Evaluates the effectiveness of sports activities program objectives.
- Implements health promotion and wellness programs for the installation and augments the program with own well-planned and beneficial programs to ensure diversity, appropriateness, and freshness and to respond to post and individual needs.
- Sets up classes to be taught by others or him/herself to instruct in circuit weight training and cardiovascular training.
- Develops program plans and requirements. Arranges for necessary supplies, transportation, space, and services to accomplish scheduled sports activities.
- Provides or arranges for instruction in such things as proper exercise techniques, proper use of equipment to prevent injuries, safety measures to followed, aerobics, stretching, heart and blood pressure monitoring, nutrition, and weight management.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid US Army Europe (USAREUR) Certificate of license.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college; planning, teaching or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels; or managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games.
Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level. An undergraduate degree in physical education may be fully qualifying for this position.

**Highly Qualified Criteria**:
- Ability to plan, market, and organize a comprehensive sports program in accord with current regulations and budget guidance.
- Ability to oversee the upkeep of facilities and fields.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work within the branch. - Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations and/or training.- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
