**Who we are...**
Our primary focuses at Fraunhofer IWES are on wind energy and hydrogen technologies. Our institute is home to more than 300 scientists and employees as well as around 150 students from over 30 countries pursuing careers in applied research and development at seven sites. We secure investments in technological developments through validation, shorten innovation cycles, accelerate certification procedures, and increase planning accuracy by means of innovative measurement methods.

**What you will do**

**Our fields of research are very diverse...**
Our employees conduct research in a wide range of different wind and hydrogen technology fields. For example, you can assist on our test benches for large components for wind turbines and perform tests independently. You can also get involved in material testing and mold construction in the field of rotor blade production. Or perhaps, simulation is more your thing, and you would rather simulate wind farm sites? No problem, then you have come to just the right place You can also take care of the preparation and follow-up of offshore wind measurement campaigns or support our team with data acquisition and interpretation in the department which is responsible for subsurface investigations. Or would you like to perform electrochemical investigations on electrolysis and fuel cell components? We are always looking for new employees in the scientific area at all IWES locations. We work in close cooperation with industry and other research institutes in the scope of national and international research projects. We support each other irrespective of the focuses of our work and our backgrounds. A culture of open exchange and cooperation, even beyond team boundaries, are particularly important to us. **What is your specialist background?**
The entry requirements for the area of work vary depending on the field of research. Generally speaking, a degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences is suitable for starting work here. Have you already got some experience in wind energy? Or were you perhaps able to get a first practical taste of hydrogen technologies during your studies? We look forward to you expanding your knowledge with us or successfully starting your professional career after your studies with us. We are internationally oriented at the IWES - a good command of German and English will make your day-to-day work easier.
