**Department Overview**:
The DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) in Munich, Germany, is where innovation meets perfection. Our dynamic team leads groundbreaking graphics DRAM design and process engineering, driving the future of memory technology. Based in the vibrant city of Munich, we are a hub of creativity and technical prowess, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible. From conceptual design to final implementation, we ensure every step is driven with precision and passion.
**Role Overview**
As a Digital Semicustom Design Intern, you will support the development of digital design blocks and gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and methodologies. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world projects, learning about the full lifecycle of digital design from RTL to silicon validation.
***Key Responsibilities**
- **Assist in writing and simulating RTL code using Verilog or VHDL.**
- **Support functional verification and testbench development.**
- **Help with synthesis and timing analysis under mentorship.**
- **Participate in design reviews and documentation.**
- **Collaborate with team members on debugging and validation tasks.**
***Required Qualifications**
- **Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field**
- **Basic understanding of digital logic design and RTL coding**
- **Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL**
- **Strong analytical and problem-solving skills**
- **Good written and spoken English**
- **Ability to work independently and in a team environment**
***Preferred Qualifications**
- **Coursework or project experience in digital design, verification, or ASIC/FPGA development.**
- **Exposure to EDA tools such as Virtuoso, Design Compiler or similar.**
- **Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL, Perl).**
- **Curiosity about semiconductor or memory technologies.**
