**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
We are looking for a strong Editorial Strategist (all genders) at Zalando Studios. You will be working providing guidance, research and support to our team of art directors - and taking part in a transformational shift in how we release, elevate, and provide context around our most exciting brands and assortment to our Zalando audiences. The ultimate aim is to develop a deeper emotional bond with our customers and brand partners through inspirational storytelling and authentic content.

This highly collaborative role ideally requires an editorial strategy background - either in-house at a fashion/culture magazine or in an agency. Fashion/culture experience is essential. We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker who can help drive our engaging visual concepts and who can help customers understand the context behind trends and the latest in culture. You will be responsible for aiding the team to create concepts for editorial fashion shoots in line with editorial strategy and to find innovative ways to execute outstanding imagery working with a team of art directors (in response to briefings from editors).

- You use your outstanding strategic skills to find best-in-class ways to execute on briefs from our editors.
- Consult art directors and production team - acting as the bridge between editors/writers and art directors.
- Help put new and exciting brand collaborations, cultural trends and moments, as well as hyped products and exclusives in context visually, in line with story outlines from editors.
- Help Zalando to speak more inspirationally to customers and bring our ambitious strategic consumer and brand positioning objectives to life.
- Research & build out a strategic approach to shoots on the basis of the editorial calendar and ad-hoc briefings.
- Attend round tables and brainstorms to share your insights and knowledge.
- Challenge and support our team in the early phases of ideation and be a champion of new cultural impulses.
- Bring your native knowledge of strategy to deep dive into the performance of our editorial and help us extract learnings that will make our work better and more targeted.

- Leading with cultural relevance, elevated curation and fashion + cultural knowledge.

- Interest in creating content that puts people & the planet first.
- Create yearly editorial strategies & set up pitch initiatives.
- Brief/co-develop innovative new creative visual formats e.g. 360 product animation to suit editorial approach.
- Track results of editorials, creating recaps and recommendations.

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- You have a degree in Journalism, Fashion, Culture and Communications or similar, and/or you have extensive experience in strategy. Ideally you have 1+ years of experience at a senior level in-house, in an agency or in a relevant creative field.
- Strong interest in fashion, communication, campaign strategy and social media. You are an innovator and have a solid future-forward outlook.
- A natural doer Your work showcases your quick thinking and proactive attitude, managing your workload to tight deadlines and with flexible planning in a calm way. For this, we would love to see your portfolio of work.
