Then join our ambitious team of like-minded professionals in Bremen and/or Buchholz (close to Hamburg) as an experienced Senior Geophysicist/Hydrographic Surveyor. PKE offers specialized consultancy and engineering services worldwide in both the marine and land environment for projects in the energy and infrastructure markets.
We are counting on your expertise, business mindset, know-how and proven track record gained on all geophysical related tasks/aspects of innovative projects. You will use and develop new tools and technologies and strengthen our team onboard our survey vessels and in the processing centers.

Your responsibility: *
- Responsible for all geophysical related tasks of a project: project preparations, mobilization, execution of the fieldwork and data analysis (QA/QC), data processing (Qinsy, Autoclean, Qimera, SonarWiz etc.), client communication, reporting and charting
- Executing Hydrographic/UXO/Geotechnical/ROV offshore surveys in windfarms areas and along cable routes in Northern Europe in line with internal procedures and external client specifications
- Data acquisition using multibeam, single beam, side scan sonar, magnetometer, and sub-bottom profiler
- Leading the mobilization of all geophysical instruments, calibration of survey vessels and Quality Control of survey data
- Developing, training, managing and mentoring staff
- Maintenance of measuring instruments and all other survey equipment; other duties as assigned e.g. On-Site Project Management / Party Chief for various survey projects

Your profile: *
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geophysics, Hydrography or related Geo Science
- 3-5 years of experience as Offshore Surveyor or similar position
- Experience with data acquisition of various systems such as: multibeam, single beam, side scan sonar, sub-bottom profilers, magnetometers, surface and underwater positioning systems
- IT literate with good working knowledge of survey software like Qinsy, Eiva Navipack, NavAQ, POS Pac, ArcGIS, SonarWiz, OasisMontaj
- Ability and willingness to perform field work (On-/Offshore) including travel regularly (domestic; occasionally abroad)
- Fluent in English written and verbal; German at least on B1 level
- A valid European driver’s license B
- Accurate, pro-active and flexible team player who also feels comfortable working independently
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
