Scope of workfull-time position suitable for part-time**Responsibilities**:
Duties include teaching and research in the respective department or institute. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications as well as acquire teaching experience. These duties are intended to promote academic achievement. Therefore, at least one-third of set working hours will be made available for the associate’s own academic work.
- independent research and teaching (5h/week) with a focus on comparative politics or comparative political economy in the context of the ongoing crises and challenges in political decision-making, especially gender, diversity, or climate issues
- contribution to the chair’s responsibilities in teaching and teaching support, e.g. preparation of teaching material or scientific presentations, suggestions for term papers and examination topics; pre-corrections of exams and term papers, examination supervision, etc.
- counseling of students on presentations and term papers; pre-correction of exams, term papers, and examination papers as well as examination supervision
- committee work
- support in organizational tasks of the team/department as well as academic self-administration

**Profile**:
A university degree in a relevant field, plus doctorate.
