Uh-60, Ah-64, Ch-47 Avionics/electrical Aircraft

The **UH-60, AH-64, CH-47** **Avionics/Electrical Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (FCC OR FAA A&P) **performs repairs and troubleshoots aircraft systems and malfunctions of avionics, navigation, electrical, and communications systems.
- Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.
- Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.
- Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.
- Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
- Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
- Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
- Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
- Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience is Required.
- FAA A&P** OR** FCC Elements 1 and 3 is required.
- FAA A&P certificate with at least Two (2) years' aviation maintenance experience, Two (2) years on the assigned MDS. (**Army Rotary Wing UH60, CH47, AH64**) is Required.
- All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
- ** If no A&P,** must possess an FCC License with (Elements 1 and 3) and Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two (2) years on the assigned Mission Design Series MDS (**Army Rotary Wing UH60, CH47, AH64**) is Required.
- If no FCC License, discuss with Recruiter your willingness to obtain.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a T1/CAC NACI US Government Clearance. Note**:US Citizenship** is required** to obtain a T1/CAC NACI Clearance.
- Valid US Passport is Required for travel to Germany.

**Germany Specific**:

- TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.

Travel: As required in support of task order.

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Possess good communication skills; be adaptable, diversified and capable of troubleshooting entire aircraft system.
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and associated systems principles to complete properly all probable work task.
- Knowledge of Quality Control, Production and Supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
- Able to determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be corrected through repair of replacement of new parts and the nature and extent of repair required.

**Physical Requirements/Working Environment**
- Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lift parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide.
