Director of Communications

We are looking for a Director of Communications (all genders) to join the Communications, Public Affairs and CSR team, on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

The Delivery Hero (DH) Communications team focuses on delivering strategic communications priorities that shape and support Delivery Hero’s narrative and reputation.

The Director of Communications role is instrumental in shaping our communications strategy that drives impact on the group's financial positioning, delivering one central narrative through internal and external storytelling around our vision to become the leading quick-commerce company globally and sustainably profitable.

The Communications team has three functions including employee communications, financial communications and strategic communications. As the Communications Director, you will be managing a team of highly skilled communications professionals. Reporting to the VP of Communications, PA & CSR, you will be a trusted advisor to Senior Leadership as well as key internal and external stakeholders of the business.

Your mission:
- Lead and manage the communications team- Become a trusted advisor by building strong relationships with key stakeholders (including C-level) at both central Delivery Hero and regional Delivery Hero brand levels- Bring strategic planning of proactive business updates and thought leadership programmes that drive impact and strengthen sentiment for Delivery Hero’s strategy and vision with key audiences.- Build a world-class press office with both proactive and reactive media relations strategies that can enhance DH’s relationships with journalists and better guard its reputation.- Act as DH’s reputation guardian, coordinating our communications response, particularly in times of disruption or crisis.- Provide strategic oversight on the development of comprehensive employee engagement and communications strategies- Build global communication initiatives that support local brands’ strategies and further align the Delivery Hero Group messaging.- Implement crisis readiness with the development of scenario playbooks, action plans, media training, and guidelines for internal and external channels.- Collaborate with other functional leads to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.

Your heroic skills:
- 10+ years of experience in external and internal communications- Highly experienced in change management and change communications- Proven track record in leading and managing communications teams in a large and very agile organization- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and anticipate stakeholder needs- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills- Able to work in a fast-paced, highly competitive, and constantly evolving category- Results-oriented with outstanding organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills- You are highly motivated and hands-on, very energetic and independent in handling business challenges- You have a humble attitude and are open to learning, but also enjoy coaching team members and sharing learnings & best practices- Ideally, you possess English and German communication skills, both written and spoken; English a must-have.
