Refrigeration and air-conditioning is an essential part of our modern way of life. A-Gas plays a key role in this. Chances are you come into contact with our products every day without ever realising it. A-Gas is a world leader in the supply and life cycle management of refrigerants. For almost 30 years, through our first-class recovery, reclamation and repurposing processes, we have been capturing refrigerant gas for further re-use or safe destruction, preventing its harmful release into the atmosphere. We operate our production facility in Seevetal, Lower Saxony, where we are known as A-Gas Deutschland GmbH. Here, almost 50 colleagues work together to create a sustainable future. Many of our customers are well known in the automotive industry, where we offer unrivalled technical support as well as consulting and refrigerant filling services.

**Your key tasks and responsibilities**
- Provide leadership for the local purchasing function, supporting the local site management team with the efficient and effective use of their non-pay expenditure.
- Purchase goods and services for the local site, ensuring operational needs are met and we are achieving price, quality and lead-time targets.
- Anticipate and identify supply problems which may pose a business risk and develop solutions.
- Develop and maintain efficient and effective purchasing processes, at local and European level.
- Assess and evaluate existing and new suppliers and where appropriate undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance.
- Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and review opportunities to make savings.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
- Prepare purchase orders.

**Your profile**
- Completed vocational training and/or a degree in business administration or technical studies or an equivalent level of experience
- Previous experience in purchasing including both direct and indirect procurement spend
- Experience in tendering, negotiations and supplier management
- Strong logical problem-solving approach
- Independent working style, adherence to deadlines and high-quality standards
- Highly numerate and strong analytical skills combined with good MS Office knowledge, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both in English and German
