**Tasks, competencies and responsibilities**
**Role: Big Data Architect**:

***Role and Responsibilities**:

- **Solution architecture using Big Data/Cloud technologies**
- **Extending the technical support to the bigger team on the complex solution aspects.**
- **Data preparation of Big Data Platform data in Scala/ Spark and/ or Pyspark**
- **Integration of data into EXASOL**
- **Documentation of work, results, points of contact, and dependencies in Confluence, Shared Drive and Bitbucket**
- **Supporting RFPs and proposals - driving the solution**
- **Strong business consulting exposure**
- **Client stakeholder communication**

**Required**:

- **Proficiency with Big Data technologies**
- **Experience with data processing, warehousing technologies - Spark-Scala**
- **Strong programming experience with Python.**
- **Experience with SQL and data modelling**
- **Experience with cloud computing platforms - AWS**
- **Experience with Jenkins pipeline and CI&CD automation**
- **Experience with Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes
