**Your tasks**
- Run agile data science projects with internal and external customers
- Collaborate and actively share data science knowledge with research and product development teams
- Freedom of choice: use your favorite data science toolkits on a Python and R basis
- Develop machine-learning models to drive optimization and improvement of product development
- Discover unique data: utilize data from various sources like
- chemical and physical stability of formulations
- sensory performance and profiles of molecules and mixtures
- chemical space of flavor and fragrance molecules
- spectroscopical data (NMR/IR), spectrometric data (GC-MS/LC-MS/GC-IMS) and other process sensor data
- molecular properties of bioactive ingredients
- Data consolidation: evaluate data source quality and help improve data generation by propagating your results to the data owner (end-to-end).
- Run Smart-ETL: develop processes and pipelines for efficient and smart data preparation for your data science projects
- Enable data citizens in a data science community
- Visualize your project results in interactive dashboards and user interfaces and discuss them with your internal customers. Implementation into Symrise IT infrastructure.

**About you**
- Master’s degree in data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or other natural science, computer science or equivalent education with respective work experience
- Experience with neural networks, autoencoders and image analysis is a plus
- advanced professional knowledge Python and/or R(programming language) and its machine learning frameworks
- Experience in Project Management (Agile / Scrum / Waterfall)
- Basic knowledge in DevOps (git, docker, bash)
- Basic knowledge in MLOps (MLFlow or similar) is a plus
- Ability to integrate data transformation in your data science workflows (derivatives, Fourier transform )
- Basic understanding of REST APIs to request or provide data from/to other sources
- Solid skills in data base handling (SQL and NoSQL)
- Open for new techniques and software tools
- Skills in dashboard and user interface creation with R Shiny or Jupyter/Voila or Microstrategy
- Ideally experience in the chemistry and life science industry
- Knowledge of chemical data, molecular fingerprints and sensor data acquisition is a plus
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in German and English, French / Spanish is a plus
