This company specialises in accelerating scientific breakthroughs, but to do this, they need to continue building their internal team.
Ever since 2014, this company has been helping professional and academic societies harness the power and scalability of the digital world to make scientific research more accessible. They're starting their journey from startup to scale-up as they hurtle towards Series B and need an exceptional CFO to join them on our next phase. This newly created role will take responsibility for maximizing their hyper-growth, and alongside finance will lead a portfolio of business functions.
They're looking for a commercially minded CFO who can be a strategic sparring partner to the CEO, a leader in the management team, and deliver success across key priorities such as M&A, Corporate Finance, and Fundraising. - Proven track record as a finance leader in a relative environment
- You're ambitious, curious, and creative. You have an agile approach and are able to balance risk and growth.
- Ability to operate and thrive in a VC backed series funded start-up/scale-up environment
- Understanding of B2B SaaS with experience of working with evolving technology seen as advantageous
- Commercial finance background likely gained in Consulting, Banking or a Venture-backed startup
- Experience of leading finance teams and owning finance processes in a global / multi territory environment
- Value-centric leader wanting to do something meaningful
- Outstanding People Leader
- Exceptional communicator & Influencer with the ability to simplify complexities and work cross-functionally
