As Director of EU People, you will have the opportunity to help level up our people operations function, implement HR practices, and gain experience across the entire people operations framework. You will serve as the first point of contact for our Business in all EU related people matters. In order to manage the growth of our team, we want to build a foundation of strong and culture-based leadership. You will have the pleasure to level up the HR function, coordinating HR administration tasks, managing the recruiting process, and creating a unique culture and working closely with both founders. **Responsibilities**: - Serve as the HR leader for EU employees and managers to resolve inquiries and issues related to strategy, total rewards and company policies - Help oversee our people operations, which will include but is not limited to: payroll and benefits, maintaining files, creating HR policies, and serving as HR Business Partner to our EU business partners - Oversee the maintenance of accurate and timely employee files, employee movement processes and administration including onboarding, off-boarding, Transfers, New Hire Orientation, IT partnership, immigration/visa sponsorship, HR Compliance, Employee Compliance Training, Worker's Compensation, and Leaves of Absence accurately and ensuring compliance with all current employment law. - Perform HRIS activities to include: transfer, promotions, and manager changes. Regularly run standard and ad-hoc reports and analyses using the Company's HRIS - track, manage and audit HRIS data integrity. - Ensure all company policies, procedures & compliance requirements are up to date in line with current local, national & international employment laws & regulations. - Ensure people leaders are up to date with changes to any policies. - Create meaningful reporting and present analysis and information. - Oversee the day to day management of local Talent and People Team members. - Leading a small People team. **What you will need for this position**: - Experience as a HR Generalist or Head of People, ideally at a tech or startup company. - A self-directed leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who proactively takes ownership and is excited to scale our team and company. - An excellent project manager with a proven ability to design and implement people operations strategies that drive business results. - A natural coach and mentor with an ability to foster relationships with all levels of the team, to relate well with others, to listen effectively, and to help employees at all levels achieve their development goals. - Experience working with remote-based staff. - Good and proofed knowledge in German labor law. - The ability to build rapport and establish strong working relationships. - Proven to have a high level of planning and attention to detail. - Ability to take ownership and seek opportunities for enhancing people workflows. - You are a strong communicator, near native fluency in English and German. - You have a problem-solving and can-do attitude combined with networking skills and a willingness to take initiative. * Some of the benefits of being a Kaianeer:* - You can directly influence the future of digital health in a team of industry experts and digital shapers. - You will work alongside serial entrepreneurs (previously founded and scaled another startup, Foodora). - You'll enjoy accessible leaders, a hybrid (home/office) or remote work environment, and flexible vacation and working times. - We support your professional development and have a budget and PTO set aside for you just for that - Happy hours, team events, and
