The research profile of Faculty 1: Educational Sci - ences comprises the five main areas "System and Organization", "Difference and Heterogeneity", "Culture and Knowledge", "Individual Develop - ment and Change" and "Health and Resilience". With a close coordination of research and teach - ing in teacher training and non-teacher training courses, the educational sciences contribute to the enlightenment and generation of knowledge for science and society as well as in the regional context. The Institute for Special Education, which is cur - rently being founded, contributes to the training of teachers for special schools in Rhineland-Palat - inate, taking into account four main areas of spe - cial education, and also deals with inclusion in mainstream schools. Accordingly, it focuses on the individual support of students, especially those who face barriers in the educational system, in the sense of an inclusive education. The Institute for Special Education is going to be comprised of five professorships. These profes - sors are going to design a bachelor's and a mas - ter's degree program to become a teacher at spe - cial schools with a focus on holistic development, learning, social-emotional learning and language development and will strengthen the genuine ed - ucational profile of Faculty 1 at Koblenz University. Cooperation with schools and the educational ad - ministration in Rhineland-Palatinate is of particu - lar importance. **Key responsibilities**: The position holder will be responsible for repre with Particular Consideraton of Inclusive Educa - tional Practices in research and teaching. He/she should have an excellent record of re - search in General Special Education with particu - lar consideraton of inclusive educational prac - tices, both theoretically and methodologically. In research, a focus on General Special Education with particular consideration of inclusive educa - tional practices is expected. Furthermore, a focus on at least two of the following areas is desired: theories of special education, anthropology and **university professorship (W3 per LBesG, conferring with civil-** **service status) for General Special Education and with Particu-** **lar Consideraton of Inclusive Educational Practices (M/F/d)** ethics, educational organization and school devel - opment in the context of special educational needs, professional theoretical aspects of the forms and places of special education, special ed - ucation aspects of living and learning together in school. In addition, active engagement in the acquisition of third-party funding will be expected. The position holder’s responsibilities will include actively recruiting and developing young scien - tists. The teaching load is currently nine hours per week per semester. The position holder will be expected to teach in - grams and the discipline units of the teacher train - ing degree programs. Administering with examinations in all degree pro - grams of the teacher training is also required. The willingness to cooperate across and within disciplines and in general is a prerequisite, partic - ularly in the context of the Center of Teacher Edu - cation. It is also expected that the position holder will take on responsibilities in academic self-government.
