**Job Description**:
METRO Corporate Controlling and Finance - Business Intelligence (BI) team is actively shaping METRO AG's Business Intelligence solution. This job offers you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic work environment and to experience the implementation of Business Intelligence solution in a multinational company.

You will play a vital role in increasing utilization of BI tools in METRO, helping reduce efforts in collecting / validating / preparing data, integrating KPIs in BI and establishing data governance. The role offers great learning opportunities. You will have independent functional responsibilities.

**WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED**:

- You help in implementing METRO strategy monitoring and analysis using BI with help of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- You support to bring BI with an end-to-end perspective to METRO. This includes tasks regarding analyzing business needs, designing data models/cubes, analysis, BI dashboard design and visualization as well as testing. Furthermore, you also support designing and managing workflows for Data Governance, Data Catalog as well as Data Lineage.
- Proactively, you identify information & analytical gaps and suggest new BI enhancements by evaluating options and help in design and testing chosen solutions.
- You collaborate with METRO corporate departments and country organizations related to BI needs, prioritization, planning, monitoring delivery and training. You are acting as a link between those business teams and our METRO IT organization. You coordinate the collaboration related to BI development by following the agile development method. Furthermore, you collaborate with external consultants and solution vendors.

- You bring good analytical skills, have tact and the emotional intelligence to manage change.
- You have relevant experience in controlling, in a consulting environment or bring experience from comparable professional career steps. A good knowledge of finance (controlling & accounting), BI/data management is advantageous.
- You are comfortable talking to business leaders, understanding their strategy, reporting needs, and helping them in their analytical journey.
- You understand the importance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), you can interpret business definition of KPIs into data structures and data flows.
- You have a master's degree in business administration (MBA) or another, comparable, academic degree with a focus on controlling, finance, BI - (business) information technology, mathematics, statistics, etc.
- You have very good written and spoken English skills, in addition, good German language skills are an advantage (but not mandatory)
- You are a power user of analysis tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik, SAP BW, Tagetik, etc. and you have a very good knowledge of databases, data models, OLAP, SQL also, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivots, filters, charts). Furthermore, knowledge of R or Python is advantageous.
- You have designed several dashboards, data models, reports yourself, and can analyze/summarize large amounts of data in a BI Tool
- You understand the importance of User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI) in data storytelling. And you are comfortable with user journey and data storytelling approach for BI.
- You have recently participated in a BI Transformation project, and have practical experience with technology change, training, and user change management.
