Some of your Benefits Personal Development Easily Reachable Cafeteria/ Canteen Sustainability & Social Commitment Diversity & Inclusion - Weinheim - Hybrid Work Freudenberg FT GmbH You support our team as MASTER THESIS - PRODUCT CARBON FOOTPRINT (F/M/D) **Responsibilities**: - Modeling product-related processes in a professional PCF calculation software in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067) - Systematic (primary) data collection for raw material supply, transportation and manufacturing - Identification of major levers to reduce the environmental impact of filtration solutions - Development of a strategy on how to reduce the product carbon footprint (PCF) for filtration solutions - Development and coordination of an implementation plan (playbook) for identified levers with all relevant stakeholders - Implementation of first measures helping in reducing certain PCFs within the scope of a Master thesis **Qualifications**: - Studies in environmental management, waste process engineering, sustainability management, industrial engineering with sustainability focus, or comparable degree program - Grounded knowledge about relevant standards (ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067, DIN EN15804,) - First experience with professional PCF calculation tools and respective secondary databases (e.g., ecoinvent or GaBi) - Fluent in English, German is a plus - Independent and structured way of working - Strategic thinking with distinctive communication skills - The master thesis is a mandatory part of your studies and you are available for a period of at least 5 months, preferably longer (up to 6 months) The Freudenberg Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion.
