The Volue group was launched in March 2020 as a result of the merger of Markedskraft, Powel, Scanmatic and Wattsight, and later the acquisition of Likron GmbH and Procom GmbH. The company enjoys a strong market position with more than 2200 customers spread across 44 countries. Volue’s annual turnover is more than 892MNOK (2020), delivered by a dedicated team of more than 700 talented employees working out of 30 offices in nine countries. The company has decided to accelerate growth on the backend of a fundamentally changing energy market. The strong position and ambitions of Volue in this sector mutually benefit to company’s positions in digital water, infrastructure construction, defence, transport, maritime and offshore operations.
**We are now looking for Senior Vice President (SVP) - Insight who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.**
The SVP is commercially focused and responsible for maximising the value creation for a specified set of products, from product planning to product marketing. This includes managing the products throughout the product lifecycle, defining product vision, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with engineering, to deliver fast growing and scalable products for an international market. The position holds profit & loss (P&L) accountability for a defined set of products and solutions. Success is measured in: recurring revenue; profitability; adoption rate, scalability and new market penetration, customer satisfaction, and quality and security in the products in accordance with Volue standards. It is paramount that product roadmaps with clearly defined go-to-market plans are developed, maintained and communicated with internal and external stakeholders.
The SVP works in close collaboration with a peer-group holding the same responsibility for other parts of Volue’s product portfolio, all reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The SVP is accountable for given a set of strategic KPIs for the product line and its customer base. Examples of such KPIs are customer satisfaction and churn. A shared key success criterion for the product management function is to develop a common and consistent set of KPIs to measure the performance of the portfolio, including benchmarking against relevant industry peer groups.
Core to Volue’s strategy and SaaS transformation is to invest in a group wide common cloud technology platform, with the ambition to accelerate the company’s ongoing SaaS transformation and shift to subscription revenue models. It is expected that the SVP pursues opportunities to find practical and financial synergies by adopting the common cloud platform. In addition, to provide additional scale in an international market, there is a need to continuously streamline the product offerings to reduce deployment time and efforts for Volue’s Professional Services organisation enabling increased scalability and profitability.
The SVP leads product-focused teams with consisting of direct reports and indirect reporting teams and the expected results are set by the yearly action plans. The SVP is a key stakeholder and customer of common business support functions within the group such as finance, accounting, legal, corporate strategy, M&A, partner management, HR, IT operations, quality & office management.
**Within this role you will**:
- Drive business development activities and support sales.
- Provide executive sponsorship to strategic customer relationships.
- Be the strategic and commercial driver for the product line and ensure the product economy (profit & loss) for the products is in line with financial targets. Define, get alignment with relevant stakeholders and evolve the business and pricing models, securing revenues and ensuring cost control.
- Develop and drive product strategies in line with the corporate strategy and mission, and continuously update and execute on go-to-market-plans to ensure products are effectively delivered to the market.
- Lead the product team’s efforts from product planning to product marketing and cooperate with functional leaders to identify and implement improvement initiatives where necessary.
- Ensure that new and existing products and services offered are based on qualified business cases, thorough market research with focused product scope and clear value proposition, and are in compliance with the Volue group’s quality system
