The Team Our Global Legal team provides key support for all TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We enable our technology and business teams' vision through integrated legal guidance and support. The Role - Handle general litigation, pre-litigation claims, regulatory appeals and all related matters. - Supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality, including the day-to-day running of matters, overall strategy, written work, and oral advocacy. - Identify potential litigation risk and counsel the business to minimise exposure. - Work and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders. - Support the company's strategy for litigation and, where applicable, regulatory matters. **Qualifications**: Minimum Qualifications - Lawyer qualified in Germany with experience in litigation either in-house or at a law firm. - Experience in handling, and able to demonstrate a strong understanding of, one or more of the following: content litigation, data privacy litigation and/or IP litigation. - Have a highly collaborative working style and strong interpersonal skills. - Strong ability to work as a team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues from across the Global Legal team, other internal stakeholders, and convey complex legal issues clearly and succinctly. - Be passionate about the law and have attention to detail, while also being pragmatic and commercial. - Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity. - Ability to manage a large number and variety of projects. - Be a native German speaker, with fluency in English and with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Background in consumer-facing technology or media and/or experience in this area from private practice. - Experience of working in-house - Experience of working for an international business. - Experience in tech and media regulation relevant to the DACH market including content, data privacy and consumer regulations. - Ability to work in another European language (other than English and German).
