The Senior Vice President, Global Professional Services will lead the growth of our profitable Professional Services organization to drive overall product subscription, consumption, and customer success at Software AG.
In order to evolve and meet our customers' increased needs and expectations, we are creating new ways of working rooted in deep industry expertise and relevance. You will ensure we bring our services expertise to market in a coordinated way across the segment to improve customer satisfaction, increase product usage and sustainable adoption, and directly impact Software AG’s top and bottom line.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be an active member of the Management Team. The role will own and manage the growth, profitability and transformation of the Professional Services team in close collaboration with all other Go to Market functions and our Product/ Business Units. The Adoption of our services is key for our sustainable and profitable growth.
The role includes accountabilities for all aspects of Professional Services, including service offering portfolio management, go-to-market strategy, delivery, operations, partner engagement and thought leadership. You will be end-to-end responsible for Software AG’s services P&L.
The role’s profile requires developing a deep understanding of Software AG’s hybrid technology landscape, but also unique industry-specific challenges, regulations, and expectations. You will craft both long
- and short-term strategies that unearth opportunities to build and drive customer value and develop a consistent industry strategy to help scale our business. You will work cross-functionally with our license sales teams, and the product (R&D) teams to ensure go-to-market motions are coordinated to drive end-to-end success for our customers. This role will also partner on the development of new industry-specific services products and programs, based on insightful customer engagement and understanding, including launching pilots that will allow us to co-create new offerings with our customers to confirm market fit based on emerging trends.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide sector and account-focused thought leadership and vision for the next generation of Professional Services, using the unique opportunities of our lead position in the market and the hybrid Integration offering.
- Develop an approach to generate insights about our customers' unique needs
- Recognized spokesperson and trusted advisor with customers and analysts (listening, public speaking, writing, and negotiating)
- Manage the financial commitments of the operating unit, working with multiple parties, against financial and business metrics.
- Systematize the process for developing new packages and programs.
- Actively drive the transformation of Software AG’s Professional Services from an Implementation Services organization into a high value Services organization (Advisory/ Architecture) by building and activating a vital Services Ecosystem
What You'll Achieve
- Build, lead and scale a leading Customer Success organization, driving vision, growth strategies and plan execution.
- Own the Professional Services P&L and customer satisfaction on all PS activities.
- Drive improvement in key subscription, adoption and customer consumption metrics
- Model world class customer empathy and be an advocate for the voice of the customer in product and services design and deployment.
- Implement and scale successful market-driven and data-supported service offerings that support company growth
- Enable programs that promote the creation and adoption of delivery and industry best practices
- Drive proactive cross-functional alignment and collaboration internally with key stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success Management, R&D, and Product Management Teams to operationalize the delivery of services.
