Senior Expert Outsourcing

Group Protection & Resilience (GPR) ensures the continuity of customer services and business operations through requirements setting and systematic monitoring within all Allianz operating entities (OEs) across the globe. We define the core professional, procedural and organizational requirements to anticipate and prepare for, and adapt to changes and sudden disruptions in order to protect Allianz’ business operations (IT and Non-IT), personnel and physical assets so that the Allianz Group is better positioned to respond in an effective and efficient manner.

We are looking for a Senior Expert team member, with strong experience in Outsourcing governance, monitoring and reporting, and a very structured working style, who wants to join the Group Outsourcing Function within Group P&R. **Key responsibilities**:
Within the Group P&R Outsourcing Function, there are four main specialty areas within which the main tasks of the new hire would be jointly worked on with the other staff:

- Outsourcing Centre of Competence (e.g. support OEs in their implementation efforts, answer Outsourcing related questions, onboard new OEs and Local Outsourcing Functions, develop and enhance operational tools and training materials)
- Outsourcing Monitoring (e.g. conduct OE onsite and virtual reviews, manage and analyze the outsourcing self-assessment, support OEs in closing audit and review gaps, align with other group monitoring activities such as the SoG review program or ELCA testing)
- Outsourcing Reporting (e.g. collect and analyze OE data for governance purposes, run the annual reporting required for the supervisory authority, maintain and further enhance the Outsourcing Module in the Group ORGS tool)
- Cross Functional Tasks (e.g. support Group projects on Outsourcing questions, regularly collaborate with Group Risk, Group Legal and Group Accounting and Reporting on various Outsourcing related topics, support other Group Centers on Outsourcing topics and contribute to overarching Group P&R projects)

**Qualification**:

- Relevant University degree (business, law, risk management, etc.)
- Basic understanding of AZ system of governance and corporate rules book
- Good understanding of the Group Outsourcing Policy required, ideally with knowledge of the relevant regulations and the involved governing / supervisory authority bodies
- Team player, strong networker, ability to work on cross-functional and cross OE topics
- Fluent English, German language skills a plus and any additional language skills also welcome
- Sound MS Office skills and advanced MS Excel skills (maintenance of VBA code, automation)
- Basic understanding of relevant systems (ORGS, SAP Ariba, Archer) would be a plus

**Experience & Key skills**:

- 10+ years of professional experience in the insurance industry with 2+ years minimum experience in the area of Outsourcing (governance) in an Allianz OE (insurance or asset management entity) or on Group level
- Previous experience in safeguarding functions like compliance, risk or audit highly appreciated
- Experience in dealing with supervisory authorities and working in the area of Provider Management / procurement a plus
- Reliable, highly committed, precise working style combined with analytical and conceptual skills
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and accuracy required
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships and ability to work in virtual, international and complex team environments
- Ability to work self-responsible and autonomously, also at times of high pressure
