We are inviting applicants for the position in the area of Clinical Epidemiology and Medical Biometry. The starting date is March 1st, 2026. We are looking for a person who represents these areas in teaching and has a scientific focus on clinical epidemiology and/or medical biometry. The tasks of the professorship include organising and ensuring statistical advice for doctoral students and scientists and close cooperation with the Clinical Trials Centre (CTC-A).
Intensive experience in the counselling and supervision of regulated studies is expected. The certificate ‘Biometry in Medicine’ from GMDS and IBS-DR or a comparable qualification is desirable.
Interdisciplinary scientific co-operation with other departments and clinics of the Medical School, with the research areas of the RWTH Aachen University including SFB TRR 219, SFB 1382, KFO 344, KFO 5011, IRTG 2150, GRK 2375, GRK 2415, GRK 2610, PAK 961, CIOABCD, JARA, IZKF AACHEN, with the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (IBMT) and with other technical disciplines are encouraged. In addition, an active commitment in the degree programs of the Medical Faculty is also expected.
