For our German site in **Wesseling near Cologne**we are looking for a

**Laboratory Leader (**M/F/d)**

The purpose of the job is to lead the Gas, Water and Operational laboratories at the Wesseling site. The position is supervisor for approx. 20 laboratory technicians and is supported by two team leads in this role.

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Lead, supervise and develop Wesseling Gas, Water and Operational Lab Staff including two team leads
- Maintain HSEQ and Authority relevant laboratory.
- Strive for Zero Accidents (Company Goal Zero Strategy) with Lab Team
- Develop and implement new lab equipment, especially for the new circular recycling plant.
- Budget responsibility for the lab
- First point of contact for internal laboratories at other LYB sites and external labs
- Analytics expert for the monomer & utilities department

**Qualifications**
- Master in Chemistry, preferably with analytic chemistry focus
- Preferably the applicant should have first leadership experience
- Knowledge in gas chromatography, ICP, Mass Spectroscopy and standard laboratory technologies.
- Very good communication and networking skills
- Languages: German, English at C1 Level
