**What does the role involve?**:
As part of the internship, you will develop a thermally optimized Powertool battery pack (prototype).
- You will work your way fundamentally into lithium-ion technology and the topology of battery systems (packs, modules, etc.) in order to develop a detailed understanding of various heat dissipation concepts.
- After a thorough familiarization, you will identify the most promising concepts and build them with our prototype lab.
- You will demonstrate the effectiveness of your development via an appropriate test concept.
- A detailed data analysis of the measurement results is part of your field of activity as well as regular exchange with the working groups in battery development, interpretation, presentation and documentation of your results.

**What you need is**:

- Studies in the field of engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics) or natural sciences (technical physics)
- Good basic understanding of thermal transport models
- First experiences in the field of simulation methods are an advantage
- Interest in battery technology
- Independent working style
- Curiosity and fun in solving tricky challenges
- Very good English skills
