This job will be a great fit for a computational chemist with a passion for protein structure analysis to solve real-world problems, or a biophysicist that has used molecular dynamics simulations to help understand protein folding, protein-ligand or protein-protein interactions, or a biochemist with experience in molecular modeling and hands-on experience in maintaining protein or small molecule solubility and functionality, or an x-ray crystallographer that enjoys optimization problems, such as the crystallization or stabilization of proteins via the surrounding small molecules.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Actively support biopharmaceutical drug product development with state-of-the-art molecular modeling techniques
- Speak with clients in the pharmaceutical industry, identify their needs, propose a strategy, and work with the team to deliver a solution
- Help establish automated pipelines for extraction of sequence and structure-based properties from molecular structures for use in machine-learning algorithms
- Identify public sequence or property databases that bring value (e.g. UniProt, SAbDab), and in cooperation with the team, establish Python scripts to retrieve relevant data
- Proactively help the team improve communication, internal processes, remove impediments, and enhance knowledge transfer

**Your qualifications**:

- Scientific degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics or equivalent (PhD, or master degree with significant experience)
- A strong background in structural and computational biology
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast growing and interdisciplinary environment
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience with CCG-MOE, Schrödinger Suite, AlphaFold, PyMOL is a plus
- Proficiency in programming / scripting and machine learning is a plus
