**Your tasks**:
Based in Frankfurt, you will work as a trainee within the Capital Markets - Bonds Public Sector & Frequent Borrowers Origination team that is responsible for the advice of and the strategic dialogue with Sovereigns, Supranationals and Agencies (SSA) in the primary bond market. The primary task of the team is to originate mandates for new bond issues from SSA clients. You will support senior team members to identify opportunities across various bond products and to pitch for ancillary business such as derivatives. Your support extends to the preparation, execution and follow-up of transactions of SSA clients, the composition of issuance recommendations (e.g. as part of a Request for Proposal), pricings and market updates, presentations, (virtual) investor roadshows and coordination of KYC and other regulatory and administrative topics. Your work will require close coordination with all team members and a range of other functions in the bank such as syndicate, relationship management, sales & trading and others.As a trainee you will be taking gradually increasing responsibilities in order to gain valuable experience with the perspective to become an originator.
**Your profile**:
We are looking for a person with the following attributes
- Bachelor degree, Masters level of studies preferred
- Concentration / Major in finance / economics or other comparable fields
- Strong communication and analytical skills-Knowledge of debt instruments and related derivatives, ideally some practical exposure to fixed income capital markets
- Prior client coverage experience is an added positive attribute
- Full proficiency in MS-Office and Bloomberg / some basic programming skills are a positive attribute
- Ability to take responsibility for one’s work, work to a deadline and take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as team spirit and work ethic
- Fluency in English / a further European language is an added positive attribute
