Position Overview

This role will work with the wider Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible to prepare monthly management accounts, perform key reconciliation tasks and assist with monthly/year-end processes and statutory returns.

Essential Job Functions
- Support in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, providing analysis as required
- Maintenance of the general ledger including maintenance of prepayments, accruals and deferred income schedules, including preparation of journal entries
- Balance sheet account reconciliations and control
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation
- Involvement with on-going projects and assist with process improvements to enhance business operations
- Support the Accounts Payable & Expenses team in responding to queries and escalations
- Assist with the annual audit
- Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management

Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance role - assisting with month end duties
- Education in accounting or related field
- Requirements: Fluency in German and English language (B2+)
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualification (study support available) will be considered as an advantage
- Results driven, ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a fast-paced business
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Able to plan, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel
- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives
