Responsibilities:
As a Lab Technician in our battery testing laboratory, you will play a crucial role, contributing to the development of the laboratory. The work task has a wide variety and spans over several disciplines. But below are some key points of how your day’s might look like.
- Welding and manufacturing battery prototypes
- Be able to support in laboratory/HW Lab/prototype workshop enhancement with specialized fixtures, building test setup, adaptations, 5S etc.
- Responsible of maintaining the battery storage compartment and prototype workshop to desired standard included but not limited to: Ordering components - Creating guidelines and routines - Ensuring that the machinery are in good condition
- Be able to support laboratory engineers and other departments with mechanical task which will enable an efficient workplace.
- Shipping and receiving batteries (prototypes, uncertified pack etc.) and other packages.
- Prepare test which includes setting up test samples and also de-rigging
- Execute test in according to instructions
- Orders to external partners required to satisfy the points mentioned above.

- You have completed an apprenticeship in a relevant field and added a further education
- Hands on experience with mechanical task
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including but not limited to:

- MS office package
- Utilizing software for inventory and shipping logistics
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), facilitating effective communication.
- The following is meritorious:

- Previous experience as lab technician.
- Experience in Li-ion batteries and dangerous goods.

Due to the nature within the role description, the positioned requires physical presence at the laboratory in Karlstein. The lab technician will report to the Test & Verification Manager.
