In this new and exciting role, as the **Director Medical Modernization** (all genders), you will be responsible for helping to develop and implement new innovative tools and capabilities for our Value and Implementation (V&I) organization, focusing specifically on helping to transform scientific engagement within the country and region by implementing an omnichannel strategy for scientific leader (SL) engagement, aligned with local rules and regulations.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including local country teams and colleagues from the Global Medical Value Capabilities Hub, Analytics Center of Excellence, V&I Therapeutic Areas (TA), IT, Legal, and Compliance, to help develop and implement new channels for medical communications and new tools to enhance field medical/medical advisor SL engagement capabilities.

As the Director Medical Modernization (all genders), you will help coordinate a Medical Modernization (MM) network in the EMEAC region, enabling bidirectional communication, sharing and scaling of best practices, and modernizing the way medical teams work in the region. Lastly, you will be critical in our change management efforts by communicating and supporting new ways of working, and inspiring others to adopt innovative ways of working as we shape and transform our V&I engagement strategy.

**In this role, you will**:

- Help implement MM strategy across all V&I therapeutic areas (TAs), while focusing on medical omnichannel and field medical solutions and capabilities in support of scientific exchange in their local country and in the EMEAC region.
- Identify, evaluate, and support adoption of data-driven omnichannel strategies that address external SL engagement and medical education objectives and gaps to establish a best-in-class technology-enabled V&I organization.
- Lead specific MM projects in the EMEAC region, in collaboration with the respective global MM project teams.
- Support change management efforts to ensure advocacy for new & emerging technological capabilities such as the medical portal, content personalization, novel field medical engagement tools, as well as data-driven digital solutions and generative AI innovations.
- Analyzes data trends and performance to enhance decision-making through the effective use of advanced analytics platforms and capabilities.
- Communicate, influence and inspire others to drive MM efforts and transformational change within medical affairs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve long term success.
- Acts as a role model for digital innovation, data ownership and value creation, proactively coaching colleagues into the concepts.

**What we are looking for**:

- Minimum of a Master’s degree in technical fields such as engineering, computer science, or data science. PhD, PharmD, or MD degree preferred.
- 3+ years of prior Medical Affairs experience within a multinational pharma company.
- Proven ability to develop and implement technical strategies for delivering scientific content across digital platforms.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant local pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
- Experience leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, digital health platforms, and advanced analytics to drive innovation in medical affairs.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with the ability to influence and lead change while building strong alignment and partnerships.
- Strong compliance IQ and familiarity with regulations and standards for health care provider engagements and corresponding international pharmaceutical codes.
- Strong project management skills with intellectual curiosity and the ability to execute and lead complex strategic and operational initiatives in matrix structures.
- Well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects with respect to priorities and charting a course for others.
- Innovative thinker, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to identify and develop novel approaches to tackle daily tasks.
- Self-driven, proactive with the ability to deliver as a team leader, team member and individual contributor.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Currently based in Germany, no relocation offered.
