**THE ROLE AND THE TEAM**:
We are looking for a strong editorial Art Director (specifically with editorial and photoshoot experience) for the “Stories at Zalando” creative team, an editorial team collaborating with Highsnobiety on a new inhouse ‘magazine’. whose main focus is to inspire and attract the more fashion forward segment of customers to the website, mainly focusing on high end designer assortment and streetwear, as well as sports and beauty.

You will be working on creating and executing stories from ideation to execution, taking part in a transformational shift in how we release, elevate, and provide context around our most exciting brands and assortment to our Zalando audiences.

- either in-house at a fashion/culture magazine, or on a freelance basis. We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker who can create engaging concepts and execute them along the styling, strategists, editors & writers.

You will be responsible for finding innovative ways to execute outstanding imagery working with stylists, photographers, staff writers & editors based on strategy.

**WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:

- You use your outstanding skills to find best-in-class ways to execute on briefs from our supply team in collaboration with stylists, photographers, staff writers & editors based on strategy
- You are able to lead teams on set, coupled with a strong background in photography and lighting, moreover You have a good eye for styling and a deep understanding of current and upcoming trends.
- Research & build out a strategic approach to shoots on the basis of the editorial calendar and ad-hoc briefings.
- Help put new and exciting brand collaborations, cultural trends and moments, as well as hyped products and exclusives in context visually, in line with story outlines from editors and strategy.
- Help Zalando to speak more inspirationally to customers and bring our ambitious strategic consumer and brand positioning objectives to life.
- Challenge and support our team in the early phases of ideation and be a champion of new cultural impulses.
- Understand how to guide producers during the pre-production phase..
- You have a good knowledge and understanding in art buying within the creative industry in Berlin
- You are upbeat and fashion savvy.
- You take ownership and know how to lead and inspire as a part of a team.
- You are confident, straightforward & direct.

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- You have a degree in fashion / photography or similar, and/or you have experience in art directing minimum 2+ years in-house, in an agency or in a relevant creative field as a freelancer.
- Strong interest in fashion, communication, campaign strategy and social media. You are an innovator and have a solid future-forward outlook.
- You have client-facing presentation skills.
- A natural doer Your work showcases your quick thinking and proactive attitude, managing your workload to tight deadlines and with flexible planning in a calm way. For this, we would love to see your portfolio of work.
