Job Purpose

Leading the Technical Data Management team of the division, which comprises of Specification Management (Technical Data officers, Reference Officers, artwork)Leading the regional R&D for the EAST region for all formulations produced in Strzelce. Covering the geographical sales regions of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and East Europe countries. To be the lead technical contact between the key Retailers and contract customers, on behalf of the division. The role requires a detailed understanding and proactive communication on a wide breadth of technical/legislative topics and the ability to develop a clear action plan of the requirements, for the key stakeholders. In addition a detailed understanding of the vast array of retailers policies and requirements is needed to enable a clear understanding of the commercial impact. The role also assists in the selling in of new product development to the key retailers and technically managing the discussions on the latest legislation and industry initiatives.

Your responsibilities will be

CTM- Management of customer technical and sustainably requirements. Ensuring the business fully understands customer’s expectations, delivering them on time and at least cost and complexity- Lead the Technical Data Management team for the division by managing resource allocation, team strategy and direction and ensuring optimum customer service within defined cost parameters- Accountability includes ensuring customer technical specification systems are complete and accurate, consumer complaints are dealt with in a timely and professional manner, artwork pack copy is legally compliment and retailer technical accreditations are maintained- Main technical contact for Integrated Customers, facilitating and managing the relationship between customer and the commercial teams, Product development teams, Regulatory Affairs teams and Purchasing- Technical contact for Retailers and contract Customers, directly managing all technical requirements- Accountable for retailers/contract customer technical requirements and share with key stakeholders in the Division and Group functions- Fully understand the retailer’s technical policies/codes of practice and ensure that we are delivering to those standards, if not clearly communicate, challenge and manage the gaps- Understand and manage the communication of the costs & risk associated with new technical initiatives and changes in legislation that impact the business unit- Gain up to date insight in new areas of legislation & industry initiatives, identify the actions needed for the business unit and manage/communicate these in a timely manner- Attend key technical conferences to get early insight into Retailers technical initiatives and share with the key stakeholders- Management of retailer technical reviews and Joint Quality & Technical Plans.- Management of all technical aspects of Retailer benchmarking

LOCAL R&D- When relevant for the division, Lead local satellite lab product development covering all requirements for the corresponding market- Member of East regional management Team (Extended RB team)- Co-operate with East regional Team to define company management and new general objectives- Accountable for Industrialisation Process related to new Concepts/Formulations for short and long term projects.- Accountable for Technical evaluation of feasibility of new formulations coming from OB evaluation.- Technical contact for Strzelce Operation department for what Raw material and Formulation management are concerned- Management of External local laboratories for local performance/analysis needed

Skills and education we are looking for- University Degree of Chemical Engineer or equivalent- Experience in a technical / product development role in FMCG environment (preferable in the HH industry): - 5 years’ experience for this role holder, - Professional Qualification (BSc/MSc)- English is a must; another European language is a plus- IT skills: good knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Internet, SAP and EH&S
