Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist

#ROLE OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist is part of the Quality Assurance Product (QAP) team and
will take responsibility for the approval of new products in accordance with agreed quality
specifications and requirements. The role will work with suppliers and internal departments to manage
customer complaints related to product quality, analyzing and correcting issues.
The position would be an excellent first role following graduation or for an individual looking to
progress.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Introducing product processes including the initiation of the process, validation and supporting suppliers with queries
- Verifying quality drawings and technical specifications.
- Inspecting supplier samples to ensure compliance with agreed specifications
- Managing product complaints with supplier
- Monitoring product quality performance
- Monitoring the execution of category strategies in the regions
- Embedding and embracing LKQ Europe’s cultures and values as we move towards one company with shared visions and goals.

KEY AND DESIRED SKILLS:

- Technical education or experience in comparable technical profession
- Knowledge of mechanical, mechatronics or work experience in comparable technical profession
- Knowledge in collision parts and coatings would be an advantage but not required
- Fluent in English and intermediate German as a minimum
- Experience in the automotive supplier industry, independent aftermarket or vehicle parts tradel
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive and willing to take responsibility
