Finance Controller

**Your mission**:

As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and establishing robust internal controls in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations. This role is crucial in providing strategic insights through detailed financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and optimizing overall financial performance in a fast-paced startup environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Austrian GAAP/IFRS and local regulations.
- Lead the budgeting process and create financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance against budget, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategies that optimize financial performance and support growth initiatives.
- Develop and update financial forecasts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate and enhance current financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

**Your profile**:

- 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Austrian GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
- A proactive mindset with the capacity to drive process improvements and automation.
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
