**What to Expect**

Tesla is looking for a Market Compliance Lead to help bring our energy storage systems into electricity markets across Europe using Autobidder, our algorithmic trading platform. Autobidder maximizes the value of storage by forecasting prices, analyzing trends, and optimizing operations in real time.

In this role, you’ll develop and lead strategies to register our assets and ensure they’re ready for commercial operation. You’ll work closely with engineering, policy, finance, and commercial teams to secure and maintain market access. Strong knowledge of market rules and experience launching energy assets is essential.

We’re looking for someone curious, quick to learn, and confident making decisions in complex, evolving environments. You should be a clear communicator, comfortable working across teams, and motivated to shape the future of energy markets.

**What You'll Do**
- Drive our market registration to become a BRP and BSP to support the expansion of Autobidder into Poland and other European markets
- Set requirements and work with commercial functions to design and build business processes, systems and operations to ensure compliance
- Define and manage compliance and risk management frameworks, manage all compliance reporting requirements and responses to requests for information from regulatory authorities and system operators
- Ensure Tesla’s energy market participation function is considered in good standing with regulatory authorities and system operators and escalate risks appropriately. Support dispute resolutions concerning fines or penalties
- Work with Policy & Legal teams to track policy & regulatory developments, proactively engage and educate key external stakeholders on Tesla’s positions on market design and to reduce friction to market participation for BESS assets
- Coordinate with regional and global Tesla teams, such as Policy, Engineering, Product, Commercial, and Legal, to setup new business functions in a way that reflects Tesla’s bias for action

**What You'll Bring**
- Ability to interpret technical regulatory documents and communicate complex regulatory topics with internal and external stakeholders in Polish and in English
- Possess a strong understanding of electricity markets and energy trading, with specific experience in the Polish market
- Proven track record of working with regulatory and licensing authorities to gain the relevant authorizations to operate as a market participant in energy markets in Poland or other markets in Europe
- A track record of developing compliance and risk management frameworks, effectively identifying and mitigating risks, and delivering bottom line impact to the business from your regulatory expertise, relationships and creativity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse global colleagues, including in situations where outcomes are vague or ambiguous
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly, and a bias to action
