Senior Accountant

**Your mission**:
quantilope’s finance team drives business growth through strategic, financial and operational leadership across our existing four entities in Europe and the US and as we expand. As Senior Accountant (M/F/d), you will play a crucial role in insourcing and scaling our accounting function. You will take responsibility for a wide range of accounting matters including revenue recognition, general ledger accounting, indirect tax filings and payment of vendor bills and expenses. As our first in-house accountant you will work closely with our Global Director of Controlling & Accounting to ensure appropriate accounting and financial processes are in place to support our rapid and scaling growth plans on our way towards $100 million in annual recurring revenue.
- You will own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting.
- You prepare entries for general ledger and sub-ledger entries, calculating and reconciling accruals and managing and reviewing intercompany invoices and payments.
- You are responsible for processing and paying expense claims
- You will submit VAT and sales tax returns and payments
- You act as a point of contact for internal and external enquiries related to accounting and liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors and banks.
- You improve and maintain our policies and procedures, tools and systems.
- You work on exciting projects and cross-functional activities to support the rapid growth of our business.
- You will train and mentor junior accountants and student workers as we grow.

**Your profile**:

- You have a commercial education, ideally as a tax clerk or accountant, or a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- You are a natural self-starter who works well both independently and in a team.
- You have a positive, energetic and doer
- attitude with a willingness to proactively jump into topics.
- You have good technical knowledge of German accounting (HGB) and international accounting standards (IFRS/US-GAAP).
- You have experience in international companies with multiple subsidiaries, including consolidation accounting, multi-currency accounting and multi-country legal compliance
- You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
- You have experience in revenue recognition for SaaS companies
