**What you'll do**:
Are you ready to craft custom software that meets unique customer needs and integrates seamlessly with SAP?
Our unit, Customer Innovation Services CIS (former IBSO) is the strategic RISE with SAP enabler, delivering differentiated innovations for our customers leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), S/4HANA and Business AI, focusing on a clean core approach.

As a Data Science Senior/Expert (f/m/d), your role is to develop AI use cases end to end, with the goal of increasing automation in business cases and to work on the entire lifecycle for customer specific projects.
This lifecycle includes the analysis and specification of business requirements gathered in customer workshops as well as designing AI models to implementing them in customer projects and maintaining them afterwards.

**What you bring**:

- Degree in physics, mathematics, or similar field, ideally Ph.D.
- 8+ years of experience in delivering and/or managing data science projects. Several full project lifecycles desired.
- Experience in implementing Generative AI and Machine Learning use cases
- Support definition of use cases and be part of use case value generation
- Support the business use case development process from ideation to solution delivery with the aim to increase business case automation
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to cooperate with other Data Scientists in AI matters and with Development architects to define and implement a state-of-the-art overall solution
- Excellent presentation skills and experienced in customer interaction, such as customer workshops or technical management of customer escalations
- Comply with development standards and methodologies (Scrum, quality, security, performance)
- You show a self-motivating style of working combined with a continuous learning mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German is a plus
- Track record with implementing AI use cases
- Experience in mathematical modelling and optimization

**Meet your team**:
In collaboration with customers, market and consultant units, the SAP Customer Innovation Services EMEA Build (Engineering) team is responsible for designing, building, running and maintaining solutions covering the full innovation lifecycle with strong focus on cloud and hybrid solutions. Our goal is to support the SAP strategy in the context of RISE and Business Technology Platform (BTP). For our international and high motivated project team we are searching for support.
