Senior Legal Counsel

**The Position**

This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 3 days per week on site.

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- **Be the Strategic Business Partner**:You will provide strategic legal advice to the One Operations functions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- **Collaborate Across Teams**:Expect to work together with cross-functional leaders, Corporate Legal Experts, and international legal colleagues to deliver seamless legal support.
- **Deliver Comprehensive Legal Services**:You will offer a wide range of legal expertise, including strategic guidance on corporate projects and regional matters with global implications.
- **Take Charge of Contract Management**:You will draft, negotiate, and oversee contracts with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) suppliers, raw material providers, and device manufacturers.
- **Support Quality Excellence**:You will play a key role in quality-related topics such as GMP compliance, process improvement, and site inspections, while representing the legal function in the Corporate Advisory Committee (CAC).
- **Drive Legal Innovation**:You will enhance legal efficiency by developing and refining templates, tools, and processes, as well as sharing best practices across global teams.
**Developing of Guidelines and Standards**:You will develop and implement legal policies, guidelines and standards to ensure reliable product supply and compliance with international laws and regulations.
- **Stay ahead of Legal Trends**:You will monitor evolving local and international laws and regulations, anticipating trends to craft forward-thinking legal strategies for our One Operations functions.

**Requirements**:

- Fully qualified lawyer, ideally with additional qualifications (LL.M/MBA) or comparable foreign education
- Long-term relevant legal experience in the pharmaceutical and/or animal health industry or international law firms
- Broad experience in international contract law and various areas of commercial law relevant to the MSQ business
- Ability to monitor and manage projects and initiatives across regions and countries
- Business partner-oriented, analytical, and strategic mindset with the ability to develop risk based pragmatic solutions
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural diversityExcellent communication skills in English (preferably also in German) including negotiation capabilities
