Industrials - Director / Senior Associate (M/F/d)

Working either in an advisory capacity or in an interim C-Suite role, our team comprises of a group of truly outstanding senior industry specialists providing corporate clients with innovative solutions to the toughest problems. Due to high growth, opportunity exists for an Industrial Senior Associate in Germany.

Purpose of the role:
The successful appointee will be responsible for contributing to the profile and reputation of the Firm, specifically in Industrials like Automotive, A&D, Engineered Products, Chemicals and Energy.

Key expertise areas sought:

- Large-scale transformation and restructuring
- Pre-deal commercial and operational M&A advice
- Carve-out and post-merger integration
- 100-day improvement plan, quantified EBITDA / cash improvement and its implementation
- Functional expertise e.g., in finance, sales, purchasing, supply chain, S&OP, production, R&D

Projects can include:

- Initial rapid diagnostic into a company's immediate and future major operational issues, product profitability, cost base, manufacturing processes and options for performance improvement
- Gathering and analyse data, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management
- Developing and implementing new operating models to improve the business operational performance

Requirements for this position:
You will have a blend of operational and commercial skills and an entrepreneurial approach. You will be a team-orientated individual with a track record of success.
- Wide knowledge (6+ years’ experience) of Industrials (ideally in a client-site focused delivery model) within a top tier strategy firm, leading specialist, ‘Big 4’ and/or niche advisory firm and experience leading holistic performance improvement projects
- An understanding of operational processes and ability to use innovative technology to resolve problems and implement business solutions
- Strong analytical skills and deep dive analysis combined with being a persuasive and effective communicator who can engage effectively with leadership teams in pressure situations.
- An ability and willingness to travel (potentially from Day 1) to client sites, across European regions
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from accredited university preferably commercial or technical
- Fluency to business level in both written and spoken German and English

For Senior Associates, we also look for:

- Demonstrable ability to own outcomes in a project-based environment
- Experience in either the industry or as an advisor with considerable experiences in delivering changes and results
- International Experience in Industrials is highly desirable
- Exemplary analytical and presentation skills
