**Position Summary**

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of the stores and warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are always maintained. The Warehouse Operative is responsible for performing various tasks to support the efficient receipt, storage, dispatch and handling of goods in the warehouse. The role requires a high level of attention to detail. The Warehouse Operative will help to maintain smooth and proper workflow by handling stock with care and attention, following safety procedures, working closely with team members and the Warehouse Lead and collaborating with other departments (e.g. Procurement, Sales, Project Management).

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of the stores and warehouse, including the management of goods in and out
- Monitor all warehouse stock levels as well as re-procurement of consumables for Technicians, warehouse or project goods required at short notice
- Coordinate the delivery of goods for the Projects and Service teams to EU, UK and overseas addresses
- Accept and distribute all office-based deliveries and hand to the relevant office department
- Carry out van deliveries and collections as required using a company vehicle
- Arrange and manage third-party delivery collections
- Manage all equipment returns and repairs in a timely manner utilising the RMA log
- Disposal trips to the company’s recycler
- Management and dispatch of internal PPE and equipment for company employees
- Manage suppliers and the allocation of all materials held in third-party warehouses / storage facilities
- Ensure all warehouse health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Manage mid-year and end-of-year stock takes to coincide with the yearly audit
- Maintain a positive, can-do and hands-on attitude
- Take part in team building meals and exercises

**Key Skills and Experience Required**
- Developing good customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
- Must be a self-starter and work well without direct supervision
- Independent way of working to improve processes
- Valid driver’s licence
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
- Minimum of 1 years’ previous experience, relevant warehouse / stores experience is preferred
- Experience working in warehouses with high-value IT hardware, electronic components, cabling systems, networking equipment and project materials is a plus

**Education Requirements**
- Logistics or commercial vocational training is an advantage, not a must
- English A2 / B1 level is required, higher than this is a plus
- Forklift license is an advantage

**Additional Information**

**Protective clothing required**:
The position may require personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes or work boots etc. Appropriate work trousers must be worn in accordance with health and safety regulations.

**Physical demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear. On occasion, you may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.

**Work environment**:
Office-based position, but may require cover at other company warehouses if required.
