Global Head of PMO

The Head of Project Management and CoE PMO* is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the successful execution of projects within Process Automation Solutions. He/she leads a team of project managers, sets project management standards, and ensures the timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality, budget and customer satisfaction.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- As a head of CoE PMO you provide strategic direction and leadership to the project management team in global PA, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Together with your CoE PMO members you define and train our global Project Management standards, processes, methods and best practices (additional function)
- As Senior Manager PM in the Business Unit Chemical & Energy you are leading large and complex projects and setting the global PM standards
- You own the project management responsibility in the Business Unit for project deliverables and ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with relevant regulations
- You act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed about project status, risks, and key decisions of the project portfolios
- You monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- You optimize resource utilization and allocation across projects, balancing priorities and requirements
- You ensure the training of the involved project management executives for project execution (PM standards, commercials, technical aspects - together with operations)
- You implement process improvements and methodologies to enhance project management practices and efficiency with systematic lessons learned
- You prepare and present regular reports on project progress, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management

**Qualification and skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master’s degree is preferred
- Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is required
- Proven experience (10 years) in project management, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Proficiency in project management tools/software/standards and a deep understanding of project management methodologies (classic - agile - hybrid)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
- Business-fluent in English and German
