Research Associate (all genders) - Computational Biology - OMICs data analysis

Collaborate with Evotec’s Computational Biology team located in Göttingen to harness data science for breakthrough therapeutics.

About our team

Our team is fully integrated in the drug discovery process, and we are mainly working with large-scale OMICs data (Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Genomics and Metabolomics) with biological focus on metabolic diseases and Obesity.

Your key responsibilities
- Use your expertise in liver, kidney or metabolic diseases to analyse OMICs data from large scale studies (e.g. Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics) for the identification of novel drug targets and disease signatures
- Perform integrative analysis of multidimensional biological data to support project teams with novel, biologically relevant insights and hypotheses.
- Work closely with our interdisciplinary team of computational scientists, bioinformaticians and biologists
- Communicate and present results within Evotec project teams and to external clients

Your ideal qualifications
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Computational Biology or a related field
- Experience in R and/or Python based analysis of multidimensional datasets (transcriptomics, proteomics and / or Omics-enabled high-throughput screening)
- Solid knowledge of cell signalling and cell biology
- Expertise in early Drug Discovery is a plus
- Having an experience with interdisciplinary teams is a plus
- Fluency in English is required
