Head of Scale-up Curved Graphene

**We are the Global CleanTech100 company and European market leader in ultracapacitors and graphene-based energy-storage systems.** Skeleton has grown from 4 people to over 300 and has raised 200 million EUR financing to scale up manufacturing and execute the ambitious technology road map from high energy ultracapacitors to Superbatteries.

Skeleton Technologies is already successfully delivering products to leading customers ranging from Škoda, Danfoss, Medcom, Wrightbus to leading German Automotives and European Space Agency. **The company's current ultracapacitors have the highest power density in the market and the technology is mature evidence by strong customer contracts and IATF 16949 automotive certification.**

But we have achieved only 0.1% of our potential. In order to achieve the 99.9%, we are looking for an experienced** Head of Scale-Up Curved Graphene **that will lead a team focused on scaling up our current Curved Graphene production process from pilot to industrial scale. The focus is on achieving the product cost and quality targets, that involves substantial amount of work with our current R&D teams, but also external specialists, to ensure timely execution of the scale-up project.

The plant will be located in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany, and the role requires often visit to the site.

**What you'll do**:

- Develop the project plan and define project strategy.
- In collaboration with other stakeholders, design the curved graphene plant layout, equipment specifications and process flows.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all design aspects and ensure that permits are acquired for the operations.
- Identify and select appropriate vendors and manage relationships, negotiations and procurement processes.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance plant' s performance.
- Establish quality control measures for the final product to meet specifications and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and environmental guidelines.
- Prioritize safety protocols throughout the project, promoting a culture of safety among all stakeholders.
- Implement sustainable practices to minimize the plant's environmental impact.
- Develop and manage the project budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
- Provide regular budget updates to senior management.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in the project and develop mitigation strategies and address unforeseen issues.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders and provide regular updates on the progress and challenges.
- Lead the commissioning process and oversee the plant' s start-up and coordination of operational procedures and needed trainings.

**Requirements**:
**To succeed in this position, **you'll need**:

- Master's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects within chemical industry.
- Proficiency in process design software and techniques to optimize the carbon synthesis process.
- Strong project management skills to plan, execute and monitor all project phases.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering principles and processes related to carbon synthesis.
- Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations, safety standards, and permits applicable.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Business fluent English skills required, German skills beneficial.
- Ability to visit the site of the plant on continuous basis in Bitterfeld-Wolfen.
