**LOCATION**:Augsburg, Germany or Bucharest, Romania

**THE ROLE:
As a **System Administrator (M/F/d) **for test environments you will plan, install, configure and optimize the test environments of the Quality Assurance department. The Quality Assurance Engineers (M/F/d) have the task of carrying out all validations of IGEL products. This requires a variety of test environments. You will work with both on-premises (e.g. ESXi clusters and other bare metal hosts) and cloud environments (e.g. Azure, AWS). You work hand in hand with the Quality Assurance colleagues, but also with colleagues from the other specialist development departments.

You are also responsible for the server virtualization platforms. **System administrators (M/F/d) **for test environments are also contact persons for incidents and new requirements with the test infrastructure. Your task is also to keep the systems secure and compliant throughout the entire life cycle. The creation and maintenance of test environment documentation is also essential.

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network management (routers, switches, firewall, DNS, Wi-Fi, certificates, monitoring)
- Management of Windows and Linux servers in Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and On-premises, among others
- Active Directory and Entra ID, Octa, Ping, and other identity providers
- Limited management of VMware clusters and on-premises server hardware
- Independent planning and implementation of updates and upgrades in consultation with the team leader
- Evaluation of new solutions
- Further development of monitoring and error analysis as well as capacity planning
- Implementation of projects
- License monitoring for servers
- Ensuring the operation of test environments, both for manual tests and for test automation
- Ensuring IT security in collaboration with the IT and security department
- Supporting colleagues with infrastructure issues and problemsTechnical research

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- IT administrator or relevant professional experience with qualified technical training
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of network administration
- Confident handling of Windows, Linux and VMware servers and optionally databases
- Experience in operating hybrid Active Directory/Entra ID environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
- Track record in projects with high technical and/or organizational complexity
- Able to support less experienced colleaguesGood written and spoken English language skills
