Global Events Lead

ECARX is looking for a Global Events Lead (maternity cover/9, month contract) in London to support their rapidly growing team.

ECARX (Nasdaq: ECX) is a global mobility-tech company partnering with OEMs to reshape the automotive landscape as the industry transitions to an all-electric future. As OEMs develop new vehicle platforms from the ground up, ECARX is developing a full-stack solution - central computer, System-on-a-Chip (SoCs) and software to help continuously improve the in-car user experience. The company’s products have been integrated into more than 5 million cars worldwide, and it continues to shape the interaction between people and vehicles by rapidly advancing the technology at the heart of smart mobility.

ECARX was founded in 2017 and has grown to almost 2,000 team members. The co-founders are two automotive entrepreneurs, Chairman and CEO Ziyu Shen, and Eric Li (Li Shufu), who is also the founder and chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group - one of the largest automotive groups in the world, with ownership interests in international brand OEMs including Lotus, Lynk & Co, Polestar, smart and Volvo Cars.

**Global Event Lead**

You will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of all global events and exhibitions. Reporting to the COO, the role is responsible for executing events in line with our communication and marketing strategy, including major exhibitions such as CES, investor events, customer demonstrations and roadshows as well as internal events. The role will work closely with the Global Brand Lead & Communications Executive and cross-functionally to support individuals and teams across the business in the delivery of their event activations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategic development of event plans to meet business objectives
- Production, and delivery of all event activity, from proposal to activation according to requirements, target audience, and objectives.
- Creating and implementing project plans to ensure cross department collaboration and on time & on budget delivery of all events
- Sourcing and managing supplier relationships, including event overseas agencies and direct one off supplier management.
- Engaging operational and administrative functions to adopt the latest policies and processes to ensure compliant delivery
- Working closely with internal business partners (sales, Investor Relations, C-Suite, People Team and product marketing) to meet expectations and objectives.
- Managing logistics and international shipping requirements for product demonstrations
- Ownership of the event creative process including brief and directing the external studio
- Close collaboration with the International & Chinese based marketing teams
- Proactive, open communication with senior leaders and stakeholders to secure relevant approvals and provide required briefings ahead of events.
- International travel to support event deliveries.
- Supervise all staff onsite at events (sales, product marketing, C-Suite, event coordinators, caterers, etc.)
- Onsite crisis management, if required.
- Prepare post-event reports, analyze results for continuous improvement to regular events, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance results.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Project management skills: managing a cross-functional project from initiation to delivery
- Proven experience as an international events leader
- Excellent communicator and budget skills
- Methodical approach to planning and attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative and quickly identify and solve problems
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- The ability to manage ambiguity, and rapidly evolving situations and to support and lead the team members through the same.
- Extensive practical experience with production & logistics, hands-on mentality, and a can-do attitude.
