Company: Qualcomm CDMA Technologies GmbH Job Area: Legal Group, Legal Group > Legal Specialist General Summary: - Assist with the strategic management of intellectual property matters, including monitoring of Qualcomm’s patent portfolio and critical deadlines- Manage deadlines and correspondence with the EPO and Outside Counsel- - Extensive communication and collaboration with Outside Counsel and internal teams- Assist with special projects as needed- Conduct prosecution related legal research Minimum Qualifications: Paralegal Certificate OR University graduate with 5-7 years plus patent prosecution experience under supervision of EP patent attorney at a large law firm or in-house position Extensive knowledge of PCT and EP patent rules and procedures and strong proficiency and understanding of European Patent Office filing system and requirements Strong working knowledge of patent prosecution practices in the PCT, EP, and other major jurisdictions worldwide Must be an independent and strategic thinker who is a strong team player and willing to take on additional responsibilities Exceptional communication skills, ability to use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel required; PowerPoint and Visio a plus) Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and superior task management skills which enable you to work in a fast changing environment Ability to build and foster productive relationships with cross functional teams to drive efficiencies Fluent in English language Preferred Qualifications Experience working with IP Manager Fluent in German language-here for assistance.
