Therefore, we're looking for a Entrepreneur in Residence (Finance & CEO Support) based in Heidelberg to support us on this exciting journey. This role works directly with the CEO, VP Finance, and executive team, contributing to both strategic and operational aspects of the business at a pivotal stage of growth. It is well-suited for someone who is not only finance-savvy and strategically sharp but also eager to build, improve, and automate processes from the ground up. The position involves leading and optimizing critical finance and operational workflows, while also supporting the CEO on high-priority projects across strategy, operations, and special initiatives. Based in Heidelberg, the role offers flexibility, the opportunity to work with a dynamic and dedicated team, and strong potential for growth into a long-term leadership position. Tasks Finance and Accounting Operations - Own entire pre-accounting and expense management process, ensuring timely documentation, processing and compliance - Lead customer invoicing operations, including setting up billing, generating and sending invoices, and managing account receivables - Support monthly financial statement preparation and budget tracking, including close coordination with external accountants or internal teams - Identify and implement process automation opportunities across various finance and accounting workflows - Track key metrics and create dashboards to provide operational insight across departments (e.g., with Sales, CS, or Product) - Own the entire data collection and management process required for accurate, reliable, and timely reporting CEO Support - Support the CEO with preparation of various materials for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. investors) - Collaborate with the CEO to carry-out on special projects, including e.g. positioning, competition research or a modern leading KPI company framework and steering - Support other departments in becoming faster and more efficient with new tooling, better processes and higher degree of automation - Supporting the company-wide OKR Process - Communication with partner and co-managing paretos offices **Requirements**: - Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement. - 2+ years in finance, accounting, or business operations; prior startup or founder experience is a major plus - Hands-on experience with accounting and finance tools (DATEV is a must) - Good understanding of German accounting standard, tax compliance, and reporting obligations - Very strong data, analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to derive insights and actions - Affinity for automation, new (AI) tools and constant improvement of status quo - Excellent communicator with the ability to distill complexity into clarity - Comfortable working closely with the CEO, VP Finance and investors **Benefits**: These little perks will be waiting for you if you become part of the paretos-family: - At the office you can test your barista skills and brew some great coffee to keep you going throughout the workday or enjoy some coffee talks with your fellow paretoneers.
